Spanish sports daily MARCA has today offered up more information about Liverpool’s proposed bid for Diego Costa. According to the newspaper, it’s the one and only Jorge Mendes who has been offering our Brazilian superstar around the English Premier League at a ‘bargain price’ of only 25 million euros.
English Premier League side Liverpool are understood to have made a bid of €25m for Diego Costa, our South American superstar, according to reports. Costa, who equalised against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final at the Bernabeu in May, stole the spotlight from Falcao on more than one occasion last season. His antics, as well as his goal scoring ability, endeared him to Rojiblanco fans after a number of seasons out on loan.
We told you earlier that Atlético was close to signing Filipe, and now it seems Deportivo left their full-back at home when they flew to Switzerland for a training camp. A deal looks imminent. Reports in Spain say a deal has been agreed between the two clubs for €8m or €9m, including incentives. Representatives of the clubs met in the Vicente Calderón today to close the deal. Meanwhile, Atleti are reportedly also hoping to sign Villarreal-duo Diego Godín and Santi Cazorla.
