Ibrahima and Keko moved back to Atlético B

Diego Forlán and Álvaro Domínguez joined their teammates today for a two hour training session. The duo had missed our friendly against Real Mallorca yesterday due to minor injuries. The players that started in our 3-2 loss either had a recuperative session with Miguel Peiró or worked out in the gym. Keko, Ibrahima and Paco Regalón hoped to stay with the first team this season but have been moved back to Atlético B.


Two of last season’s debutants sold

Atlético have sold two promising young players from Atlético B today. Our second team’s forwards Cédric Mabwati and Jorge Molino have both found a new club. Jorge Molino joins Real Murcia, whilst Cédric Mabwati, a Congolese winger, has signed for Segunda División side Numancia. A buyback option was included in both transfers.

Atlético B win first pre-season friendly

Atlético de Madrid B played their first friendly of the season yesterday, beating Colmenar 1-3. Newcomers Saúl and Hermosa came up with the goals as Antonio Rivas’ men got the season off to a great start. Atlético C also played a friendly match. They beat Marchamalo 2-0 with goals from Dani and Pedro.

Atlético signs new goalkeeper

Atlético has signed Iago Herrerín Buisán on a free transfer. The goalkeeper will join Atlético B now that Joel has joined the first team. The duo together form David de Gea’s understudies, since Sergio Asenjo has been ruled out until December. Iago explains the multitude of goalkeeping talents was actually a reason for him to
