After a goalless draw in Toledo last week, the B-team hosted Celta de Vigo B on Saturday.
At the Cerro del Espino, we convincingly won the second league match of the season by a 4-1 margin.
Our youngsters impressed under the watchful eyes of Lázaro Albarracín, Severiano Gil y Gil, Carlos Aguilera, Kiko, Radomir Antic, as well as Getafe director Toni Muñoz, Atleti first team players Antonio López, Arda Turan, Álvaro Domínguez, Mario López, Adrián, Sergio Asenjo and now Osasuna midfielder Raúl García, who all enjoyed the Madrid summer sun at the Cerro del Espino.
After just twelve minutes, the reserve squad’s top scorer last season Collado opened the scoring when he made the most of a pass from Míchel. He rounded the goalkeeper and put the ball away into the empty net.
Some minutes later, left back Javi Cantero scored from a well-taken set piece by Cidoncha, who also delivered two dangerous crosses to Paco Regalón, but the captain was unfortunate with his finishing.
Moments later, Collado added another strike to his account after good work by Cidoncha and Pedro, deciding the match within the half hour.
The striker came close to completing his hat-trick, but saw a goal controversially cancelled because of an offside call.
Collado managed to get his third goal later on though, when he controlled a pass by Cidoncha and again left goalkeeper Matías without a chance.
Just before, Camochu had made the most of a rebound from a corner to score Celta B’s consolation goal.
