According to sources in the Spanish media, Atlético defender Tomas Ujfalusi was in Istanbul on Sunday where he agreed terms with Galatasaray to join the Turkish outfit next season.
AS reports the announcement will be made official tomorrow. According to MARCA, Atleti is set to receive €2m for the former Czech international.
The Istanbul-based club are said to still be determined to complete the other two-thirds of their triple offer for Ujfalusi, Reyes and Forlan.
A fan favourite in his three seasons with the club since joining in the summer of 2008, Ujfa brought unmatched intensity to the 133 matches he featured in.
While he was certainly on the decline, Rojiblanco supporters were likely expecting to get more than €2m for the 33-year-old.
UPDATE: Daniel Hidalgo of AS reports via Twitter that Galatasaray will pay €3m for Ujfalusi. The defender will earn €1.8m per year and has signed up for two seasons with the Turkish club, with a one-year extension option for the third year.
