In the 31st round of the season, Atlético Madrid B have finally earned a win from an away fixture! Goals by Hermosa and Noguera in either half were enough to beat Universidad LP (0-2).

As always Antonio Rivas’ youngsters started attacking early on, while Universidad looked to get out quickly on the break. Atlético got their first goal, and it was Hermosa who opened the scoring. They dominated the match with Sergio Marcos dictating the play from midfield.

Last week our reserves allowed their opponents back into the match late on, but it seemed Atlético B learned from their mistake, because this time it was Noguera who scored the second goal in the 79th minute.

In the last ten minutes we calmly played out the rest of the game, to bag a third win from our last four games.

Line-up: Iago; Regalón, Pulido, Atienza, Cantero; Joseph, Sergio Marcos; Hermosa (“88 Jarju), Batres, Noguera (“79 Míchel); and Borja (“72 Mínguez).

Goals: 0-1 Hermosa (“27); 0-2 Noguera (“79)

Congratulation for victory. Is very important for squad the win match the match.

Valuable three points, considering the players that Atleti B have lost from last season I don’t think we have done too badly this year. Also good to hear that Sergio Marcos is still doing well, he should be with the first team in pre-season and then can get his real chance to impress 🙂

I agree with you, NiñoTorres, but I don’t think he should be a starter, he has to adapt and Koke is (much) further.
Also, Mario and perhaps Camacho or Ruben are higher up, I guess, also because they’re better defensively.

Maybe in a three-man midfield, he could do great things, but then he would have to compete with Fran Merida (if he stays, I haven’t seen many rumours, but he doesn’t get many minutes, if any, so…)

Nice to see “B” winning an away game, they’re finally on the right track again, maybe another try for promotion next season.
