Atlético Madrid and Juventus have reached an agreement for Tiago. The Italians would receive €5.5million, but the Portuguese midfielder is hesitant to take a pay cut. Atlético has offered Tiago an annual salary of €1.2m to the 29-year old, while the midfielder is currently earning €2.8m.

It is well known that we are trying to bring down the wage bill. Expensive players like Maxi Rodríguez, Pablo Ibáñez and Mariano Pernía have already been shown the door, but the club is looking to bring the wage bill down from €90m to €75m.

Fanni waiting for approval to join Atlético

Meanwhile in France, Rod Fanni is getting impatient since his transfer to Atlético still hasn’t been finalized. The clubs reached an agreement two weeks ago, but Rennes is waiting for a bank guarantee from Atlético. The rightback has already agreed personal terms with us and is waiting for confirmation.
