Atlético manager Quique Sanchez Flores was handed a two game suspension by the Competition Committee on Tuesday following his sending-off this past weekend.

Quique received the automatic one game suspension for having been shown red in the 3-2 loss to Espanyol, and was banned an additional game for “unsporting behaviour.”

The Rojiblanco boss will miss our upcoming away fixture against Levante and, barring an appeal by the club, the following match versus Deportivo La Coruña at the Vicente Calderón.

Portuguese midfielder Tiago will serve a one game suspension this weekend after seeing his fifth yellow card of the season against Los Periquitos.

Do you feel Quique’s suspension was fair, or was it too harsh?

  • Derek Maaijen

I don’t think the suspension is harsh, Quique shouldve known better.

What I can’t understand however, is how Sergio Ramos has been suspended for only ONE game, after he tried to break Messi’s ankle and slapped both Puyol and Xavi in the face!
