Atlético B draw away to Coruxo

No goals scored in a match played under terrible weather conditions

Jorge Pulido and Paco Regaón against Coruxo

It was raining cats and dogs in Vigo when Atlético took on Coruxo in a match which finished as it began: 0-0.

It was difficult to play under the terrible conditions, but Atlético did almost manage to take home the three points.

Jorge Pulido scored five minutes from the end, but his goal, which surely would have given us three points, was harshly disallowed by the referee for offside. After a closer look, it seems that the goal should have stood.

Minutes earlier the man in charge had also denied Javi Cantero a penalty. It seems the Spanish officials aren’t favouring our club at any level this season.

These were the only highlights in a disappointing match. Atlético B were the better side but weren’t able to create many opportunities.

This point means we double our total from away matches this season – not a great start. Next up is a home match against Universidad de Las Palmas, the team that were beaten 5-0 by our first team not too long ago.

Line-up: Iago; César Ortiz, Regalón, Pulido, Cantero; Fer, Koke, Perea (“82 Atienza), Sergio Marcos (“69 Roberto), Mínguez; and Vítor (“69 Saúl)
