AS is reporting that Filipe Luís and Sergio Agüero will be at manager Quique Sánchez Flores’ disposal for Sunday’s home match against Zaragoza.
Speculation was building that Filipe was set to make his debut this weekend.
Quique had stated a few weeks back that the Brazilian had been assigned a specific conditioning programme by the club’s medical and training staff, and that immediately upon its completion, he would be set to feature.
The left-back is reportedly fully recovered, ready to introduce himself to the home crowd and aiming to put his skills on display at the Vicente Calderón against los Maños.
Forward Kun Agüero meanwhile, trained at the Cerro del Espino facilities yesterday on his own after the rest of the team were given the day off. Colchonero training staff felt that the Argentine striker had a better chance of recuperating from his left leg contusion in time for our next clash if he remained active with no interruptions.
The young starlet aggravated the injury suffered against Athletic Bilbao when he forced himself into the line-up against Barcelona, causing him to miss out on our mid-week clash with Valencia.
Our number 10 expressed his desire to make it back in time for our upcoming fixture on his website right after Wednesday’s tie. Kun wrote, “Hopefully I will fully recover because I would hate to have to watch the game from the stands.”
Sánchez Flores decided to give his squad the day off given that the team had not rested in 15 days.
The pause in training came as the club nears yet another hectic work week. In a span of seven days beginning Sunday, we face off against Zaragoza at home, host Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday and then travel to Sevilla on Sunday the 3rd of October, ahead of a very timely international break the following weekend.
There is no word yet on whether or not Tiago has gotten over his thigh injury suffered against Barcelona. The knock kept him from making the trip to Valencia and it’s unclear if he will be available for this weekend.

UPDATE: AS reports that Tiago fully participated in practice this morning and should be good to go come Sunday.
