  • Sanil

Very little chances so far! But Borja scored 2 vs. Athletic so it’s not been a bad day for Atleti strikers

  • Hannu

    Carrasco in strarts happen..

  • Kris

The most frustrating part of this game is the four DEFENSIVE midfielders. If Augusto already likes to play so deep as a pure defensive midfielder and we keep playing the 4-4-2, why don’t we play a diamond midfield then?

  • Jeronamo Pakor Jones

I think Simeone’s stubborn attitude will be our downfall

  • Sanil

This is tough to watch! Vamos Atleti!

  • BlasiusMagnus

have you guys seen a bigger cunt than sergio rico?

  • Kris

Haha 4 defensive midfielders in the first half. Brings in the most useless striker in recent times when goal is needed. It would have been too late as after Sevilla were down to 10 men, they were not going to attack. It was going to be a bus park. THIS, this is the reason we should never be complacent only scoring one goal, grinding out results in the second half. It’s not always going to work man. When we have so much quality why can’t we put the game to rest in the first half? For fuck’s sake Simeone, why you so obstinate?

  • Kris

Soldado is an equal. Dirty, dirty cunt.

  • Shjinijalkj

Today is the day that we lost the chance to win the title. Barcelona will surely beat us, I don’t know if they will win us 1-0 or 3-0, but they will beat us for sure. That’s a 3-point gap between us, and they will win their missing game against Sporting Gijon, 6-point gap, and GAME OVER.

  • Arjit Barua

We played well until vitolo got sent off. We were never going to score against a team playing so deep after that. We can barely even score usually.

  • Arjit Barua

I don’t remember Jackson actually touching the ball

  • Too early, don’t you think? There were many “game overs” when we got the title two season ago. Remember when we didn’t get to win Levante one game before facing Barcelona away? That was a nice “game over”

  • Ahmad Hossainy

He really can destroy all what he built by his own hands .

  • Shjinijalkj

But if you remember, we had a 4-points gap between us. When we lost to Levante, they drew against Getafe. Then we drew against Malaga, and again they drew against Elche. But to close a 6-points gap, I just don’t think we can do it. I would be happy to be proven wrong.

  • Abdil Egriøz

Little bit pessimistic over there, huh? How can you downplay one of the best if not the best defensive team in the world? I’m convinced we’ll atleast get a draw in camp nou and then we’ll take it from there. Always “Partido a partido” don’t ever forget that!

  • Ahmad Hossainy

For me, it’s not about the points, it’s about starting with 4 defensive-minded midfielders, at home, against the 7th team on the table, who have never won away this season, benching Correa & Carrasco and leaving Oliver out if the list (he has recovered from the injury by the way)
A coach who does that doesn’t really think about winning La Liga .

  • Kevin Bell

    I don’t think he did.

  • AndersAT

A little pessimistic… Did you see Barca against Malaga? They were lucky to get that victory (they could have lost with all their defensive errors). I don’t think it is unrealistic to get a draw against Barca. Our problem is creating games, not defending a zero. But all that said i think it was just a matter of time before wee dropped some points, and we were lucky to keep hold of the first place for as long as we did. We desperately need a new attacker who can pose a threat, also taking some focus from Griezman. If we start scoring goals, we can challenge for the title, otherwise… maybe next year.

  • Aax

Don’t claim yourself as an Atleti if you have verbalized such cowardly remark.
EVEN IF WE SURELY KNOW WE WOULD BE LOSING THE MATCH, NEVER WILL WE GIVE UP OUR FIGHT AND THEN EVEN ADMIT IT OUT !!
Nothing is Over until it’s Over, Either Losing or Winning WE WILL DO IT SPIRITEDLY FIGHTING IN STYLE.
The way I see it, Now we have to go and beat Barcelona in their own stadium next week by scoring more than 1 goal. If we can’t beat Barcelona then we are not a worthy Champion to Be. This is the Next Stage of Development.
This is ATLETI ! the other one NEVER IS.

    FORZA ATLETI !!

  • AaX

Either he starts scoring the next games, or we have to swap him with someone better who will have an Instant Impact !
