Really don’t like how Gamez looks on the left

We’ll take all the Luck we can Tonite. We need to lead Barca in the standings before taking them on in the upcoming weeks.

  • Mitch

Torres worked very hard and Carrasco was our lucky star for night, excellent foot-works that drew the foul, got the free kick and Gabi got the 2nd goal, end of story.

  • Kris

Carrasco and Correa have both impressed. Next up, Vietto. Crazy how much quality we have in the team. The substitutes changed the game today. Jackson,, cheeky substitution.

  • Kris

Wasn’t really a game for Oliver tonight. He’s not pacy, but he is very skillful. He CAN’T play as a winger. He can play behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 or a midfielder in a 4-3-3, but 4-4-2 absolutely isn’t his game from what I have seen. I hope he becomes just as good in 4-4-2 as the season progresses.

  • Chewie

You can like Torres all you want, but here’s the thing – Torres had two chances and wasted both, Jackson scored with hist first one and almost set up the Griezmann’s double. Magnificent player.

Gamez was bad indeed, when Sevilla started pressuring the left flank, he looked lost. Same thing with him attacking – more often than not he gave the back pass.

Apart from these two – and a couple of uncharacteristic flops by Godin – the team looked rock solid. Vintage Atletico of 2013/14, only with even better players.

I’d highlight Oliver in the first half, Carrasco’s cheeky dribbles and runs, Griezmann omnipresence, focus and precision (MOTM), Oblak’s intelligent positioning and good reflexes.

Nevertheless, Sevilla did very, very good and I’m sure they’ll finish within the top 4 this year.

  • Kris

Yes, the three most consistent players were Griezmann, Gimenez, and Oblak. Man, I feel like Oblak is gonna be THE star of the season. This guy is the best goalkeeper in La Liga for me. Don’t be surprised to see massive bids for him in the winter. We should do our absolute best to keep him such as raising his salary, and raising his buyout-clause to 300 million euros.

Great win, Feel sorry for sevilla though, but thats football!
Carrasco, Jackson, Oliver and Griezmann were the attacking highlights
Tiago showed great composure in the centre. Juanfran and gamez looked shaky when konoplyanka and gameiro came in but were good nonetheless. Godin and Gimenez were excellent as usual. Gabi was okay but not spectacular and torres was my flop of the match. he worked hard but he had chances to score and didn’t. Koke was ever so good in the midfield again and saul did well in his short cameo. Carrasco and Jackson changed the game. Vietto will have to fight really hard for his chance(although i think he’ll play the cup games) and last but not least, oblak was top notch was again. 4 goals, 6 points, 2 clean sheets. iiAupa Atleti!!

Very sad to know of the departure of Raul Garcia. The eight fingers, it seems was a tribute to Raul Garcia who has been a great representation of what Simeone’s Atletico team is. Thank you Raul Garcia for every bit of your contribution, you have worked harder than many to get to where you are today. I appreciate your total of 326 games that you played for Atletico and much success for your next step and moment of life. Gracias Raul!
Much respect & success to you, fantastic professional!

  • Ahmad Hossainy

Fuck Sevilla .. or as they say in Spain : Puta Sevilla

  • ToHaJu

    what happened with Raul Garcia?

  • Ahmad Hossainy

Yeah, the world-class goalkeeper, the most expensive in the history of Spanish football who only became our number one in March, and only because Moya got injured !!

Simeone is a genius, the whole world knows that, but sometimes he does very stupid things .

  • Ahmad Hossainy

Agree about everything except the last line .

  • Chewie

Apparently, he’s moving to Athletic Bilbao. The man just can’t stop wearing red-and-white.

  • ToHaJu

its really a surprise how he left like this
