Young Belgian set to join Atleti after two clubs came to an agreement

Ferreira Carrasco reportedly set to have medical tomorrow

According to reports in today’s newspapers, Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement with Monaco over a move for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.

The Belgian winger is set to sign for Atleti on a five-year contract, with a fee of €15 million to be paid to the Ligue 1 side.

As part of the deal, Monaco will receive 25% of the players fee, should he be sold on in the future.

French newspaper L’Équipe is reporting that Ferreira Carrasco will undergo a medical with Atlético today.

The club will try to focus the attention elsewhere, with Correa scheduled to be presented to the media at noon on Friday,

After the collapse of a deal for Benfica’s Nico Gaitán, Atlético had to move quickly to secure Ferreira Carrasco, who is seen as a replacement for the outgoing Arda Turan.

As we reported last week, Atleti were interested in the young Belgian, who scored eight goals last season for Monaco in all competitions.

The player’s mum even confirmed the move on Facebook – aww!

Another young player in, after the signing of Vietto and the presentation of Correa today!

With carrasco signed for us i wonder how we will look next season 442 or 433. I think cholo will stay with 442 will start with
    JF godin Giminez Siq/LB
    Carrasco Gabi DM/Tiago Koke
    Jackson greizman
Vietto, Oliver, RG8 , Correa , saul and Torres are super subs

I will cry if that is the team..

Now this, this I could get excited about.

Welcome to Atleti. I’m loving the age of our signings, looks like we’re definitely building for the future

That is exactly what i would do, but maybe use Carrasco ahead of Oliver, for the time being, just to see him play more, since he is the “big” signing.

    Juanfran/Manquillo—Godin/new CB—Gimenez/Lucas—Siqueira/new LB

Not sure about Jimenez, Cebolla, Garcia, Perez, Insua, Baston and Gamez. What will be their future?

Ok this one is gonna be off topic as Im foscusing on his mom.

Firstly, pretty hot on this picture.

Secondly, I found her profile on FB but I cant see this post anywhere.

And thirdly, whats wrong with her and the duck faces!?

Still feel like these funds would have been better served on a CM, given that Correa and Oli are there? But I don’t really know shit about this kid, so we shall see. Still time to get a CM, but money is always the real question with Atleti.

Either way, I saw a video of Carrasco pulling off some double spin move (in a game) that was ridiculous, so that is cool at least.

“As part of the deal, Monaco will receive 25% of the players fee, should he be sold on in the future.”

Come on, man. Why do we keep doing this? We’re already paying 15 million euros. Is that not enough for him or just doing bad business with every single deal?

  • atleti10

RG8 will stay, the rest will leave on loan or be sold. Maybe Insua will stay if we fail to bring someone in.

At first I was mad too, I was thinking : why don’t we pay the whole 20 million, 5 million is not a big deal, then I asked myself : for how much could we sell him in the future if we decided to ?! .. 35 million ?! the 25% of that is 8.75 million, so we will be losing 3.75 since we saved 5 million now, or could we sell him for 40 million ?! .. the 25% of that is 10 million, so we will be losing 5 million because we didn’t want to pay 5 million now, still not a big loss for me
it would be a big loss if we sold him for 60 million or more, but I think the chance for that is very small

I would say it’s a bad business if he cost few millions, like Diego Costa whom we bought 50% of his rights from Braga for 1.5 million then bought another 30% for something around 2 million, but I think Braga would have never agreed to sell all the 100% , they saw his potential, and in Portugal, they know how to do business

I saw a 10-minutes video for him, all of it is double spins, or as some call it :
    “The Roulette”
I read a headline somewhere : ” Carrasco, king of the Roulettes”

That’s nice, but what I care about more is his goals and assists, I’ve never seen Raul Garcia does a roulette, and I don’t think he can !! .. but in 2013-14 he scored 17 goals, and last season he scored 10
