According to reports in today’s newspapers, Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement with Monaco over a move for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
The Belgian winger is set to sign for Atleti on a five-year contract, with a fee of €15 million to be paid to the Ligue 1 side.
As part of the deal, Monaco will receive 25% of the players fee, should he be sold on in the future.
French newspaper L’Équipe is reporting that Ferreira Carrasco will undergo a medical with Atlético today.
The club will try to focus the attention elsewhere, with Correa scheduled to be presented to the media at noon on Friday,
After the collapse of a deal for Benfica’s Nico Gaitán, Atlético had to move quickly to secure Ferreira Carrasco, who is seen as a replacement for the outgoing Arda Turan.
As we reported last week, Atleti were interested in the young Belgian, who scored eight goals last season for Monaco in all competitions.
The player’s mum even confirmed the move on Facebook – aww!
