Atlético travel to Vallecas tonight for the third Madrid derby in just under a week. The defence of our Spanish crown kicks off against Rayo Vallecano, and you can follow the game LIVE here at AtléticoFans.

We trialled this last season during some of our Champions League fixtures, and if it’s a success again it will be here to stay.

SURPRISE! Last year’s away kit is our third kit this year because you can’t play grey or rojiblanco against teams in white and red

  • Brad

    HT 0-0

  • palestine atletico

Our team is soo weak so far!!!!!!!

  • palestine atletico

This team will never win la liga… maximum 3rd or 4th place

  • Dircil

fucking Mario Suarez, he under performed as usual. I would strongly suggest we get a decent playmaker, or else we will never create play!

  • Rowly

Fatigue definitely a factor, both Atleti & Real Madrid struggled tonight. We lacked creativity & movement in the final third, couldn’t keep possession & looked slow at the back, in fact we were slow all over the pitch, we’ve missed Arda Turan tonight as someone like him could’ve made the difference in attack. We’ve definitely looked tired so a point isn’t the worst result but we could do without playing catch-up already.

  • Adnan Khan

This is bullshit. Looks like we forgot the art of attacking. I agree with the comments here. With this team and how we are playing we wont do well. We need a better attacker. Both of the attackers we brought in are the same type, they can’t do shit on their own and not even clinical. Bad game from mandzukic today. This is too sad, to sad.

  • David Lee

I think we lost (a draw at Rayo is a loss in my book) because we started the season in the old black and yellow away kits……

  • Chewie

What the hell are you talking about? It’s our third game in seven days, the players are physically and emotionally fatigued, plus no Simeone and RG8 who is tireless and one of the team’s leaders. Ansaldi over Siqueira was a wrong choice, I think. The game was bad, I agree – too many wasted chances, slow thinking, bad decisions. It’s not the Atleti we’re used to. We had some real scoring opportunities in the first half yet wasted them. Playing like this, I consider draw a reasonably good result. We could’ve lost if Rayo were luckier.

  • palestine atletico

Raul jimenez is not what we want he is a player that maximum can play in B team… griezman was shit today… koke and mario were drunk. And finaly hector and saul!!!! Are those two players the best sub for la liga champions i think the bench of rayo is way better than ours….
Btw being tired is not the reason for such performance.

  • Ahmad Hossainy

I don’t think Ansaldi over Siqueria was a choice, I believe he wasn’t physically ready
only those who spent 3 seasons with Profe Ortega could start (and finish) the game after playing 2 demanding games vs Real Madrid .. 3 games in 7 days like you said

  • Ahmad Hossainy

Welcome back my friend .. missed your negativity and overreacting !!

  • AaX

Don’t be to easy to criticise.
It was obvious this is the opposite display from the last match. We’ll pick it up at home at the Trophy Handing Ceremony against Eibar at the Calderon on Saturday.
Not many players can play with extensive energy and intensity like Atletico did.
Sure it is dissapointing compared to the last, but like was said this is the 3rd game they played in 7 days plus few other additional factors.
It’s a positive situation for the team to get used to without Cholo on the touchline early on to prepare for the Champions League as well.

We always will have challenges to pass through.

Let them recover and we’ll be patient in wait.

    The right results should come.

    Peace

  • Kris

I disagree with everything you said.
