Atlético midfielders Arda and Tiago have not participated in group training this week. Instead, the two have trained individually.
Arda hasn’t played since March 24th, when he suffered a sprained ankle in a collision with Valencia’s João Pereira, while Tiago has been unavailable since February 27th, when he broke his arm due to a reckless kick by Sevilla’s Gary Medel.
The Portuguese made a quick recovery from that knock, but has since sustained a different one: a recurrence of a muscular strain in his left thigh.
Sunday’s clash with Sevilla at the Sánchez Pizjuán is likely too early for the pair. They likely won’t be risked in what will undoubtedly be an intense, rough game, especially with a derby against Real Madrid coming up next week.
