Atlético have confirmed that they will be crossing the Atlantic once again for two friendlies, having completed a post-season tour in Colombia just this past May.

This time, they will lock horns with Atlético Nacional of Medellín in a return to the land of Rojiblanco star Radamel Falcao on the 1st of August, and with Costa Rican capital outfit Deportivo Saprissa three days later on the 4th of August.

It had been rumoured last month that an additional friendly would take place in Miami, but there is still no official word from the club that Atleti will be traveling to the United States.

Diego Simeone’s men will also participate in the annual Teresa Herrera Trophy hosted by freshly-promoted Deportivo La Coruña at their Riazor Stadium this summer.

  • Urban

I hope we will get some chips for those trips. It seems we found a new way of paying off falcao’s transfer – make tournees to Columbia.

  • starvs

Man I don’t want them to go to Miami, that trip would almost be too tempting not to make and I don’t exactly have that kind of ‘money’ at this present time.

  • Jorge

Please come to Miami! We went to the World Masters Game, and even in a torrential downpour, the place was rocking. (Unfortunately, the stands looked like a Barcelona vs Argentina match).

  • Good give our younger Canteranos a start to prove themselves. Cuz all this speculation is killing me.

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

Anything new about Giovanni Dos Santos?

  • Javi Lozoya

Nah. The Gio dos Santos rumors are fading off. The press is now linking Jose Sosa who was reviously linked to Atleti before. And since Sosa doesn’t has an EU passport they say one of either Miranda or Salvio are gonna leave the club. The Spanish press is unbelievable. Every week there’s like 2 or 3 players linked to Atleti.

  • Javi Lozoya

You guys remember Pizzi right?. Well, he is joining Deportivo La Coruña on loan from Atleti… Braga, Atleti and Depor reached an agreement for him. I hope this doesn’t mean Atleti is gonna sign him permanently because his clause is like 15M… I also read somewhere that Atleti has 50% of his rights… not sure if that’s true or not.

  • Javi Lozoya

Oliver got injured today against France in the semifinals of the U 19 tournament. Spain advanced to the final and they’re playing Greece on Sunday. Anyways, I hope Oliver recovers soon.

  • Yon

Yeah I hope little Torres gets better in time for the final!

Also The Sosa rumours are being boosted by Benfica re-newing thier interest in Salvio I read? 8 million apparently?

Also reading the board are looking towards Rossi and Borja V but Villarreal are not keen to do business with us as we still owe them from the Forlan transfer :S

  • Mahmoud

    @Yon

Seriously? How the fuck can we still owe them money for Forlan!? That transfer was like 5 years ago! I guess the board is even more ridiculous than I thought, which is a shame because Rossi or Borja Valero (if we don’t sign Diego) could potentially be amazing signings for us.

  • Javi Lozoya

Yeah. Benfica are still interested in Salvio. 8M is lousy offer considering they want like 30M for Gaitan… that’s why I don’t like negotiating with the Portuguese. They sell expensive and are so conceited like Porto’s president. He is such a douche. But that’s another story.
And about Rossi and Borja V is always the same thing, not to mention Rossi is going to be out until 2013 so it’s no use making a bid for him… Maybe when he is recovered and healthy as he is one of my favorite players and I want to see him with the Atleti jersey.
Like you mention, Villarreal’s president Roig argues Atleti owns him money, yet they sign one of Atleti’s best young players Sergio Marcos…, so maybe that helps Atleti sign one of their best players although I highly doubt it.

  • Yon

Yeah it’s crazy! Malaga also were looking at Borja V but they still owe for Cazorla, so again the Villarreal big man is refusing to do business!

As for Rossi, it would be a tough decision, buy him now for a discounted price cause of his injury and hope he recovers fully or wait it out, then if he recover fully his price will go shooting up again :S

  • I just saw a rumour that Totenham have offered €18mil for Adrian and triple his wages. Hopefully the rumour is not true

  • shlomgar

Ok. That’s it. I’ve just turned into a believer watching Oliver in action. No more purchases. Just get rid of Merida and mabe Assuncao. Sell Salvio for more than 10M, and next season would be better than last

  • @Amed9ja

Yeah i saw that rumour as well but i think its a good offer for Adrian. Think about having tripled wages and the 18 million offer could go up to 20+

  • shlomgar

So there’s a bus right? My guess is whosoever on that bus is staying. So Falcao, Adrian, Gabi, Courtious and Arda are not going anywhere right?

  • ali_

from 18 million euros they can repaint the bus a few times…

  • yon

The offer can’t go up for Adrian I don’t think, apparently that’s hid release clause fee and Spurs are more than willing to meet it 😐

  • Willen

There’s an offical good news (for us) from Flamengo’s interest in Diego: The deal between them will NOT happen once the proposal has been denied by Wolfsburg.

Now Diego is between remaining with Magath or coming to us. The transfer windows will close soon.

  • Urban
  • palc

I’d be devastated to see Adrian leave. My fave player in Atleti. I’d rather sell Falcao, Diego and Arda than Adrian.

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

Okay, know i’m just thinking loud. But do you guys Think that it would be possible that tottenham get Adrian and then we get GDS and some money?

  • Willen

    @JimboWithTheDancingShoes,

I don’t think it’s worthy. I really like Adrián. The best acquisition in ages, in my opinion.

  • Javi Lozoya

“Manager Andre Villas-Boas has rejected an opportunity to sign Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez who is valued at £16million while Paris St Germain are monitoring negotiations with Real Madrid for Luka Modric.”

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2172759/Steven-Pienaar-set-5m-Everton-return-AVB-begins-Spurs-clear-out.html

  • Javi Lozoya

It’s old news about Adrian. Plus now that he is with the Spanish Olympic squad he is most likely to not discuss about a new contract since he said he is focused only with the Spanish team.

  • Javi Lozoya

About Gio dos Santos, he is set to be released by Spurs but there’s a strong rumor that he is most likely going to join Malaga.

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

    @Javi Lozoya

Well who Can blame the guy he Will probely get a higher salery and he is gonna play Champions league, and not europa league;)

  • Willen

These new riches Málaga and PSG messing up with the market…

  • palc

Haha Pienaar for €5 mill when he was sold for €4 mill a couple of years ago. Everton are really stupid. He’s 30 for f’s sake.

    OFFTOPIC.

  • shlomgar

But it’s like that for a while now. I think it was Chelsea first and than Man.City. It happens everywhere now and only the sane balanced clubs would stand and survive in the end. Problam is, I’m not sure our “get Falcao by any means” attitude is so sane…

  • Mahmoud

Yeah but what is sane about this club that we love? [:

  • DJ_ZA

    @Jimbo

Spurs are also playing Europa League – lost their CL spot to Chelsea

  • I would like this to be atleti’s side next season

    Courtois
    Botia Miranda

    Juanfran Felipe

    Gabi Tiago

    Cebolla Arda
    Adrian

    Falcao

    Burak Yilmaz

Thats my MOST REALISTIC ATLETICO SIDE WITH BIG SIGNINGS for the next season. It’s MY team!!

  • Dircil

    focusing on wing attack?

  • Yon

Not a fan of Burak or GDS!

WHERE ARE KOKE AND OLIVER TORRES IN THAT SQUAD RANDY???

  • shlomgar

    So we’re starting with these I see…
I’m still under the impression that Cata has come to be a factor, and yeah, I too hope GDS will stay away from the Red&White. Also Yilmaz is not coming as much as I understand.

Our squad is packed with tallent. No more signing please unless it’s Diego. Oliver should be a frequent bencher and it’s time for Koke to be a starter. Cebolla could do with an on&off role…

    Courtious
    Juanfran Miranda Godin Filipe
    Koke Gabi
    Diego
    Adrian Arda
    Falcao

  • shlomgar

Bench: Asenjo, Cata, Silvio, Mario, Emre/Oliver, Cebolla, Costa

  • Maura Perez Beatriz

Hamit Altıntop from Real must have been bought, but unfortuantely Galatasaray FC had a deal for Hamit with the cost 3.5 million euro. And those who dream dos santos, i am suspicious about your football mentality, forget about him.

  • Maura Perez Beatriz

    My Squad;
    Courtious
    Juan Fran-Miranda-Godin-Felibe
    Gabi-Emre
    Adrian-diego-cebolla-Arda
    Falcao

  • shlomgar

Not trying to be a smartass but there is an extra player there somewhere Maura…

  • Javi Lozoya

Seems your guy has Burak has joined Galatasaray… that end the rumors as Burak being Atleti’s third striker. And about Gio dos Santos, I don’t mean to sound rude but yea, Maura is right, we can’t forget about him. Even Cerezo himself said those rumors we’re not true and he didn’t wanted dos Santos. Like I said, it is almost very likely Gio will end up at Malaga. Just watch.

  • shay

What about Chamah? He can be a great 3rd striker.
I adored him back than at France.

And he’s out of flavour at the moment so might be cheap.

  • ali_

what chamakh could achieve here, any other cantera striker could achive…

  • shay

Chamakh has EXP. We need to challange THIS season, not 2016.. if we want Falcao to stay..

  • shay

Everyone, please: Stop watching videos of Atleti’s kids winning at U-13 matches and think they are good enough for La liga.. WAKE UP!!!

  • ali_

i didnt said it, cos i trust our cantera that much. i said cos imo chamakh is shit. and behind falcao he wouldnt even get a chance.

  • leika

Is it true that Malaga has too high depts and because of that they might loose their Champions League spot? I guess in the end that Sheikh will find money somewhere…

  • Edletico

Possible Leika, still being investigated. Would be amazing for us. Imagine the extra £20m

  • Willen

I see that Cebolla is a pretty fast and quality player on the Pro Evolution Soccer game, but I tried to get some good videos about him playing and nothing called my attention. Is he really that good?

  • leika

I guess he has the fighting spirit, speed and stamina. He is good both at defence and attack. Maybe individually not the best but I guess he will play a vital role in this team and I think there is something special going on in Simeones head about putting a balanced and well organised team together. He doesnt want superstars, he wants players that he can trust and players that work for the team.

  • leika

Btw, all our 3 signings are quite aggressive players, don’t you think? Emre, Cata and Cebolla. Anyone else wanna f*** with us??? :D:D

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

Well Ganso is gonna move away from santos, sell Falcao and get him and some other guy for the money??? Or is that just crazy talk?

  • yon

Why sell Falcao, a proven goalscorer in Europe to sign an un-tested Brazilian? Probably turn out a flop like Pato!

  • palc

Just saying. I have nothing against Salvio. But Cebolla will be a much much more helpful player for the team than him. Just wait and see.

  • Javi Lozoya

Shay, You say wake up in regard to the canteranos yet you speak of signing Chamakh who has scored 88 goals in 364 matches…, he isn’t good to be Falcao’s sub. He turned out a flop in the EPL. His best goalscoring record was 16 in 47 games… and I don’t think he is shit but just not good enough to be Falcao’s sub. And regarding the canteranos I would prefer either Borja or Pedro ahead of Chamakh… And I demand more respect to the canteranos, for they are the future of Atleti. You have no idea of what these kids have to go through to become pro so don’t you dare to criticize them.

  • Javi Lozoya

I love Ganso and think he is even more talented than Diego but if we sell Falcao we won’t get a player relatively good enough like him. Plus if we were to buy Ganso we would have to deal with him being injured for most of the time.
It’s not crazy talk but unlikely. And I prefer crazy talk until the season begins :),that way we can interact and discuss our favorite and dream players for Atleti. just don’t mess with the cantera.
And speaking of crazy talk, and Ganso, his arrival could mean the exit of promising Oscar dos Santos, and who knows?, maybe we could sign him since we have an alliance with Inter. Perhaps they could lower the price on him since Atleti and Inter are partners. Or what’s the point of having and alliance if you can’t exchange or sign their players?. But that’s crazy unlikely talk :). But hey, if Shay dreams with Chamakinho, why can’t I with Oscar?. But unlike Shay I’m rational and know Oscar won join Atleti.

  • Javi Lozoya

In other related or unrelated Atleti news former captain Maxi returns to home club Newell’s and Spurs sign Adebayor on a permanent basis. That is likely to end Adrian’s speculation of joining Tottenham.

  • shay

    Javi:

A- Chamakh (or someone else in his level) is good enough to warm Falcao’s bench.

B- Remind me, who was that guy that SUCKED AT EPL and than kicked ass for Atleti?? FORLAN??

  • shay

And by the way, all these Brazilians that shows great promise usealy suck when they get to the big leagues.
Pato, Robinho and the likes are all above avrege but not what people thought they will be.

I put my money on Neymar being a flop. Mark my words 🙂

  • ali_

neymar already a flop, he can play good against lower teams, but against big teams he always sucks.
only 12-13 year old kids admire him.

  • shay

And just for the record, I dont criticize Atleti’s Youth. But as much as these kids are talented, they won’t be able to make a big difference THIS SEASON.. not as much as older players.

Unfortunately, we dont have a Messi among the Canteranos. Yet.

  • shlomgar

First, I hate Messi and would never want him in Atletico. Second, you’re talking about Falcao as if he isn’t the best striker in spain and one of the 5 best in the world. He can’t be replaced and he won’t be sold. End of story. Cholo eould sell a kidney first…

  • shay

Yeah, but I wasnt talking about Falcao- he is priceless.
I was talking about a backup:

    Falcao->Adrian->Salvio->ChamakhCanteranoAnyone.

As long as it’s not Diego Costa 🙂

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

Okay, want dó you guys Think about Bendter? He is 24. Years so bo longer a talent. He has just had an very good european cup with Denmark scoring 3 goals, and Arsenal would be more then happy to sell him. He could be a backup untill Falcao moves and when time comes mabey be our prime cf?

  • shlomgar

Yeah I know man, I was talking generally. By the way, please stop with this shenanigans with javi. It’s getting old man.
Why can’t we all just get along?
I mean we are all believers in the teaching of Cholo and his 11 disciples. We dont have to devide into groups just because we have different opinions right?

  • Alex

    ATLÉTI!!!!!! Woo.

  • leika

WOW! Oliver Torres is playing in U-19 final with Spain and, oh boy, that boy has A LOT of class. So far he has only made like maybe 2 wrong passes. He is the main man in that team, doing long balls, chips, short one-two passes, long shots and his ball control is superb. Im super sure that he will be the future playmaker for Spain national team. Too sad Manquillo and Saul are injured and cant play the final. They would have been in the first 11 for sure. Future looks bright for Atleti.

  • Willen

    @Shay and @Javi,

Just for the record, I’m Brazilian and don’t think Neymar is near a candidate for best player of the world. He’s quick, smart, fast has good dribbling but Velez, Mexicom Argentina and Corinthians showed how it can be easy to stop him and destroy a team relying only on him.

I don’t think he’s a flop and I think he can succeed in a bigger league with a smart coach. Robinho is crybaby that complains and does not play and I never thought that the -all-the-time-injured Pato was a wonderful striker. He’s fast and that’s all.

I would only bet on Ganso which is also always injured like Pato. Very very tough. Investing the money on our Cantera is better than losing money on bets like Neymar or Ganso.

  • Willen

Felix Magath told the press that “Diego is no longer on the Market” and that he hopes to have the player fit to the beginning of the season.

  • shlomgar

    @Willen
I’m pretty sure that he said it because of Flamengo only wanted a loan deal for Diego. His future will still be unclear until the 1/8.
On a happier note, Simeone was so impressed from Oliver’s performance on the U19 Spanish team he has invited him to join in on Los Angeles de San Rafael

  • Scott

Nice to see he’s being rewarded. Let’s just hope he does well and he impresses El Cholo!

  • leika

i think Cholo would have invited Saul and Manquillo aswell, but they are injured right now

  • leika

For winning Europa League we got 10,5 million euros, which is really a small amount of money. E.g. from Champions League only Bate and 2 other teams got less money. I think that winning Europa Leagu should give a club at least 25 million euros. Manchester United who in the end also played in EL got 35 million euros. But I guess it’s just the broadcasting thing.

  • shay

Where do you guys get information on Atletico ?
All I got is this site (which is great) and goal.com.

BTW- Falcao is in “UEFA best player in Europe” list. naturally.

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes
  • ali_

leika: if u get in to the CL groupstage, then u dont even win a single match, u earn more money than with an EL victory…

shay: checkout the spanish press, AS, Marca, Mundodeportivo. i read those, even if i dont speak spanish. google translator is good enough. 🙂

  • shay

    Thanks!!

  • Urban

Leika: Valencia got 17 mln for CL, 7 mln more than we did, but on the other hand I guess that if we add brand development (which is no doubt way bigger for winning EL then going to quarters of CL) I guess the real difference could close in 2 or 3 mln.

However, this year the gap may increase.

And whats sad is the fact that Valencia makes good transfers right now, and so far only noticable difference in our team is the absence of Diego.

  • shlomgar

How is it that Valencia is doing good transfers? They just sold two good players and haven’t bought no-one useful…

  • Urban

Guardado? Kevin Gameiro is on his way, so is Bruno…

and Alba had to go to putalans, it was obvious.

  • Javi Lozoya

Nilmar is a great player but injury prone and there’s no way Atleti would pay 8M for him since we don’t have money or so the board says… Gameiro is good but not that good, 11 in 32 for a powerful team as PSG is not that amazing, I would prefer Nene who can score and assist. and don’t worry about Valencia guys, they might have finish 3rd in back to back seasons but they haven wont a trophy for a while. We have a better squad than them. we defeat them in EL and won the trophy.

  • Javi Lozoya

Chamakh sucks here and China… end of discussion. you can’t compare him with Forlan. Forlan won two Uefa golden boot trophies with different teams, Chamakh?, can’t even be topscorer in Ligue 1… I demand more respect to Forlan.
And Neymar is not a flop guys, he won the Libertadores pretty much by himself. He is very individualistic but is a great player and only 20. He wants to give spectacle to the fans and that’s why I like him. He does his tricks even when the score is 0-0. In a few years he is going to be world class. And Oscar too, he is gonna be world class. But enough with this.

  • Javi Lozoya

Indeed Oliver is doing the preseason and he is very excited about it. He says he had a chance to leave the club but wants to succeed here. He also says all canteranos want to be like Fernando Torres. That’s the spirit. I do wish to see Oli debut with Atleti’s first team and succeed. He is just a great player. I’m pretty sure he is going to be world class. I wish to see him wearing the 10 jersey and leading Atleti to defeat Barca and Madrid.

  • ali_

well, yeah javi, i think he is more talented than almost all the other canteranos here right now. checkout this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P_AtvnQfMU&feature=player_embedded

that kid is gonna be pure class, he is just 17, but he has good dribbling, passing, and vision. im really excited about him.

  • shlomgar

    @Javi Lozoya
Stop demanding stuff man, we all love Forlan and appreciate every minute he played for us, because it was golden.

I’m with you in everything and think Neymar has come to a point in his career where only a change of place would take him higher. Unfortunately that wouldn’t happen because of his contract with Nike…

  • shlomgar

News are we have first two planned departures from our squad with Assuncao almost definitely return to Brazil (for free &*%@), and Merida’s deal with Rayo almost closed. Nobody’s cought off guard there I presume…

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

Well now the Tello rumor is back. It seems Like we are gonna get him on a 3 year contract and then Barca Can buy him for 6€ After the contract is over.

  • leika

For 6 euros only??? That’s way too low if he will succeed! I know you meant 6 million euros. 😀 I don’t know where they will put Tello. We have enough wingers Arda (although if Diego wont come then Arda will play in centre), Cebolla, Salvio and also Adrian. But maybe they want him as a penaltybox striker but in that area we also have Falcao, Pedro and Diego Costa.

  • yon

Don’t see the big fuss with Tello myself :S!

Just a question, anyone else excited to see how Raul Garcia will perform under Cholo? Could be like a brand new signing if he plays like he did last season!

  • ali_

jesus, tello for 6 million? diego is 10 for fucks sake…

  • ali_

ahh 6 mil is the buyback. then how much is he costs for us?

  • Urban

Raul Garcia and Gabi in the middle would be a very combatative and interesting pair, provided however we have someone more creative ahead of them, preferably Diego.

Back up for those 3 positions would be Koke, Emre, Tiago and Mario, which is excessive – im suprised we brought Emre…

  • leika

I think Emre will be a vital part in our team. Maybe off the pitch he is a doubt but on field he is world class. I beliebe he will fight hard and bring stability and balance to our squad. I think he is a starter and motivational genius who will paly well together with Arda, but if he gets carried away his gonna be a big problem. I hope Cholo will discipline him.

  • Shay

Gabi, Emre and Raul G.. Great players to fight for the 2 Center spots.

By the way, when I suggested Chamakh, I meant “someone in his level as backup only”.. Stop being a fukin bully, Lozoya.. Its cool you have strong opinions, but you’re not smarter then anyone here

When Forlan got from england to spain, everyone thought he was rubbish.. everyone but villareal..

  • Shay

Oh, and Neymar will be a huge flop.. That’s just obvious..

  • Lubo

@Leika: No we don’t have enough wingers. Arda is too slow to be a winger, his role will be to step in Diegos shoes. The only wingers we have are Cebolla for the left side and Toto for the right side. Adrian is definitely not a crossing and running winger we need. But neither is Tello. And if the Tello rumour is true, then it’s obvious that Salvio will leave (similar player types). I’m feeling bad for Toto. He became my favorite player (besides Filipe and Falcao).

  • Willen

I’ve watched the video Ali_ sent and I’m really surprised to the qualities of Oliver. Being only 17 he shows some qualities similar to Xavi and Iniesta. I would feel bad if we don’t get Diego to give the boy more playing time. The boy is really really good.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P_AtvnQfMU

  • palc

Tello?! No way’o. He can go to Hell’o. Don’t need that fellow! We already have Salvio!

Nah if the plan is to sell Salvio to afford Diego, then Tello as a replacement for me would be OK’o.

  • @Javi Lozoya

I’m with you on Neymar he isn’t a flop and yall want proof for the greatest all time football player Pele to tell him that means a lot.

But Chamakh i disagree Javi. he could be a GOOD backup. Nothing more and he is nowhere in Forln’s class. His record before Van persie took the main role at Arsenal was 12 goals in 16 games which isn’t bad and his price tag isn’t that bad also. And hell yeah Valencia has no kinda squad compare to ours. But I’m saying Chamakh has a point to prove if he is transferred to a club.

  • Hey and all you who think Neymar and Chamakh are folp well here is what i have to say.

Wasn’t Forlan a flop when Playing for Man Utd then what he went to Spain and impressed with Villarreal then Atletico gave him worldwide fame.

What about Falcao you asses he was the biggest flop when playing for River plate. Injury ruined his career. Then he went to Porto he impressed and he came to Atleti and got world wide fame. One of the greatest.

What bout Messi. Bigass flop at Barca in 2000-2004 and look at him One of the greatest players in the world now.

Oh and this might be the most classic. Diego good at Werder, F**ked up and Juventus, same with Wolfsburg and then won with Atletico(EL).

So why do u think Chamakh and Neymar WILL BE flop look at the others and think for a second. And thats just 4 examples. :/

  • ali_

    “you asses”? behave yourself kid.

messi was a flop in barca in 2000-2004? are u serious? 😀 he was born in ’87 for fucks sake… he didnt even played with the first team.
diego wasnt a flop at juventus neither. i have a lot of juventus fan friends, and most of them know that wasnt played in his natural position. and still they loved diego.
oh and yes, checkout his stats.
acoording to stats, he was a flop here too…
    http://www.transfermarkt.de/en/diego/leistungsdaten-verein/spieler_4248.html

    here is chamakh statistics:
    http://www.transfermarkt.de/en/marouane-chamakh/leistungsdaten-verein/spieler_19085.html

in Bordeaux 273 / 70 is that good for a striker? lol

  • Yon

Chamakh is a flop! Should go back to a mid-class Ligue 1 club where he belongs!

Neymar is not a flop yet, mainly as he is too scared to move to Europe, but when/if he does, i think he will be, or he will be a big-game-bottler, score 4 against Granada, Wigan or the like then flop in a cup final or against an equal team when it matters most!

Tello can go away! Rid of Merida, Rid or Assuncao, I’d rather get rid of Tiago than R Garcia(i think he can flourish under Cholo, plus surely we being Portugese we can get someone to pay too much for Tiago?) then just sign Diego and Botia and let the season start!

  • shlomgar

Yeah man… Let the season start allright, 106 responses to one topic is scarry…

I don’t care as long as we have Cholo… Whatever team he may have, he is a magician and will lead us for glory! By the way, just heared again we are getting closer to a CL spot, and that’s made me happier than I’ve been in a month or two…

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

Rumor has it that both Arsenal and Man. City are After Oliver Torres.

it looks Like that Celtic are close to Loan Joel.

    @yon
I so agree that we shall get rid of Merida, Assuncao and Thiago!

And instead of buying Tello then i think that we should buy Alejandro Gomez of Catania.

  • Yon

Joel to Celtic? Really? Will he start ahead of Forster? Surely he will! He is too good for the SPL!

Yeah Oliver Torres and all the U19 Spain squad are being linked with everyone over here, apparently Arsenal and Man United have been monitoring him!

Is this to do with the Malaga money issues? Surely if they don’t get in for owing clubs money we won’t either :S

  • DJ_ZA

…and now for something non-Atletico (sorry)

Shinji Kagawa fans – he’s just made he’s Man utd debut in friendly in South Africa 🙂
Ps. Happy Mandela Day (He’s 94 today)

    *Proudly South African*

  • @Yon Neymar ain’t a flop. To score two goals on your Brazil National team debut. Does it sound like a flop?.

Yeah and Why did diego come to Atleti eh Ali?? He came to find his form. Only at werder he impressed and has temper issues.

Point is None of these players are coming to Atletico. And Chamakhs CURRENT stats at Arsenal 12 in 16 BEFORE RVP came along.

    Smh

  • That Transfermarkt site is bogus. Shun. They said Ronaldo’s worth is 90 mil euros. They mad. Real Madrid inserted a BILLION Euros clause in his contract.

And Chamakhs Scored that twelve goals last season. sorry season before last in sixteen

  • Andres

Falcao DID NOT flop at River

  • Alex

Torres dismisses loan opportunities in EPL. Says he wants to keep in Madrid. Gotta love that as an Atleti fan.

  • Javi Lozoya

Shay, dude what the hell?, I said end of discussion and enough of Chamakh crazy talk, yet you keep insisting on it. you call me a fucking bully yet you disrespect the Atleti kids, Forlan and you’re defaming me not even knowing me. you better check your tone because you won’t want to mess with me. You know nothing about football. You’re just demanding a player who most of we all here know is gonna be a flop. It’s fucking non-sense. Plus Atleti has no money and there’s no way in hell he’ll come. What part Atleti has money you don’t understand?. Pathetic. seriously. I tried to be reasonable and end this but you took it to another level. Next time think what you’re gonna say and stop being a clown.

And Schlomgar, I’m just demanding the essential because i feel like it. Forlán gave a lot to the club and i wont stand people criticizing him and the canteranos. much less from a big mouthed like Shay.

  • ali_

Randy: the hell are u talkin about? chamakh scored 14 goals in 16 match? where???
he scored 12 goals in 63 matches, and give 9 assists.

    http://www.transfermarkt.de/en/marouane-chamakh/leistungsdaten-detail/spieler_19085.html

transfermarkt is shit with the player prices, but we are not talkin about prices… its totally irrelevant now.

  • Javi Lozoya

ali_ lol I know. Even Diego Costa would be a better option than Chamakh. Not that I would like to see either one. But if I was to choose one I’d take Diego Costa anyday. Too bad he still doesn’t have an EU passport. Gotta give him credit. It takes a lot of cojones to score 10 goals in 18 matches plus assisting some others after being injured for 6 months. Diego Costa 10 goals in 18 matches and some assists in only six months, Chamakh 1 goal 1 assist in 19 matches. Fuck yeah!, Chamakhinho is our savior!, the best back up for Falcao in the whole world!. Wait, I forgot Atleti has no money, ah 🙁 that means we won’t sign Chamakinho. What are we gon do?, we’re totally lost without Chamakinho!!!, we won’t qualify to CL without Chamakh!!!. Ha, ha!. LMFAO!. Falcao is so bad ass he doesn’t need a sub. just like this last season, but physically he does need a sub. Luckily it ain’t gonna be Chamakh.

  • Alex

I don’t know why everyone is getting so butt hurt. All of this is like a classic case of high school drama bull shit. If someone says they’d like one player or another at Atleti so be it. We all have our own opinions on who we like and dislike. I would have loved to see Marin in Madrid before butt burglar Chelsea brought them in (only because I’m a fan of the kid.) I’m looking forward to the new season with the people we ALREADY have. If we could miraculously bring Diego back in, or anyone else for that matter, more power to them. Give everyone their own opinion.

  • ali_

yes, everybody can have their own opinion, but if some kid dont like your opinion, and call you an ass, it maybe fucks your brain up…

  • Shay

And “some kid” is always LOZOYA!! man, you need to understand that you are (believe it or not) not the only guy around that loves Atleti or Forlan.. You are just a small-time bully who threatens people and assult them because they don’t share your opinion.

Now get ready for this cuz I know you gonna have alot to say, only I listen to your opinion:

1.Chmakh will always be better than Costa.
2.The Canteranos are not good enough for 1st team.
3.Forlan was shit in Manchester (accept it or not).

  • ali_

    i wasnt talking about lozoya…

  • Shay

    haha

  • rijikun

    How surpring number of replies!

Anyone knows Malaga would be out of Champios league as selery problems?

I am going to Madrid from South Korea on 1st of August, I wanted I could watch any match then.

Shame it is so difficult to get a chance to go to Spain and to have spare time from my work.

  • yon

@Randy Neymar scored 2 on his debut? Was that not against my country Scotland? Pretty sure our national team is AWFUL so that’s not really an achievement that demands any respect!

  • Andres
  • @Yon

To score for your country versus any man jack don’t matter what team u are playing is a good achievement.

And point is about this club

Mediocre club Mediocre signings and we aint getting neymar or chamakh so who started the shit on them. This is Atleti.

Personally i would go for Diego Costa as Falcao replacement(not like we have a choice) because this club has no money and i guess we can forget about Botia. 🙁

    Smh

  • And definitely bring Oliver into the squad he could play as one of the backup players. He is like the Xavi or Iniesta of Atletico.

  • shay

You know.. I aleays thought Diego Costa in really not that good. Not even as backup..

    Hope I’m wrong (:

  • JimboWithTheDancingShoes

It seems that Cholo is gonna keep Raul Garcia, and use him just behind Falcao, After his impresiv 11 goals in 33 matches.

  • Urban

I guess here we have the 2012/2013 Atletico: TC – Juanfran, Godin, Miranda, Filipe – Gabi, Mario – Raul Garcia – Adrian, Salvio/Arda, Falcao.

  • hey Apparently gago has signed with Valencia.
    Smh

  • Javi Lozoya

Just shut up Shay. You’re embarrassing yourself with this Chamakh thing. You now nothing about football. I rest my case. This blog is better without you.

  • i think javi loyoza has a point. You may want Chamakh but most dont. I accept youve got your opinion but weve all heard it now. Lets just leave it. Its never gonna happen and personnally im happy with that. But i do your opinion and i respect it. No one is right or wrong- but most of us have accepted that but you dont need to keep saying we should buy him. Lets draw a line under it and move on
