Colombian Atléticos have been blessed with a second friendly to take place in the land of Radamel Falcao and Luis Amaranto Perea.

A month ago, Atleti announced they would fly to South America at the end of the season to face off against Bogotá-based Millonarios, Falcao’s youth team in Colombia, on the 16th of May.

On Tuesday, the club unveiled another match to take place just three days later on the 19th, this time in the Colombian city of Cali against local team América.

The Escarlata, or ‘the Scarlets’, will be celebrating their 85th anniversary when they host Atlético.

I’m glad for Torres, this could help him recover his confidence and be the same world class striker he once was.
I’m also glad for Chelsea. Justice was served after losing to Barca in 09 with a controversial refereeing in favor of Uefalona.

  • Javi Lozoya

You know that if Chelsea wins the Champions League and Atleti the Europa League we could face Torres in the UEFA Supercup. That would be amazing.

c’mon guys, why dont we change the topic to our club’s upcoming match. it’s more interesting

  • palc

these post season matches in Colombia might be a strategy in keeping Falcao.. Good idea.

  • Javi

Dircil Torres is one of the Atleti greats and hopefully he will return home one day. Watching him do what he did yesterday brought back all the memories of what he did to Barsa when he was with us and when Barsa feared playing us as they could not figure a way to stop Torres and that is a great feeling specially these days when we cannot replicate that against Barsa Aupa Atleti Torres Grande Atleti!

  • Javi Lozoya

I agree with Javi. Torres is an Atleti legend and it’s great to see him score against Barca. While he may not be with us he is still an Atletico just like us.
If Atleti didn’t went back to the Seguna it was mostly because of Torres. It was him vs the world when he was just a kid. He is one the prides of Club Atletico de Madrid.
