Tiago, the versatile Portuguese midfielder who was loaned out to Atlético for the second half of last season by Juventus, continues to weigh up his options – but the clock is ticking.
The Bianconeri have reportedly ordered the 29 year old to return to Turin by Sunday, in an apparent effort to force his hand.
We’ve apparently agreed to a fee of around about €5 million with the Old Lady, but as has been widely known for the past few weeks, Atlético would require the player to take a pay-cut of 50%.
Tiago currently earns €2.8m a season with Juventus, but los Colchoneros are only willing to offer €1.4m.
Rumors earlier this week suggested that German club Stuttgart is interested in acquiring Tiago’s services in order to replace the loss of Sami Khedira, who recently left for Real Madrid. However reports in Italy suggest that the only concrete offer on the table is from Atlético.
