After three consecutive draws, Atlético B returned to its winning ways in spectacular fashion.
The team travelled to A Coruña where Montañeros CF were handed a 6-1 defeat.
Atlético B had tied in games with Albacete, Coruxo and Getafe prior to this match and were motivated to become the first team to win at the Elviña Grande this season.
Midfielder Fer López returned from injury after a broken hand had kept him sidelined since the start of September. Milinko Pantic also handed Sergio Marcos his first start of the season.
Montañeros, who despite not losing at home are at the bottom of the table, managed to keep up with los Rojiblancos in the first half, but conceded five goals after the break.
Atlético took the lead early on when the team’s top scorer Pedro Martín took advantage of a defensive mistake.
Just before half time Rubén Rivera equalised for the home side.
Montañeros had been able to keep up with Atleti, but when Paco Regalón headed in the 2-1 after an hour the home side seemed to break down.
Kader was able to make the most of a rebound after goalkeeper Rafa let go of a shot by Pedro. The young Frenchman scored his second of the day only eight minutes later.
In between, Pedro also completed his brace with a strong header.
There was still more to come, and in the added time centre-back César Ortiz headed in a corner kick to make it 6-1.
Atlético B lost three matches at the start of the season, but are now unbeaten since the 18th of September.
Next week the league’s highest scoring team host Real Madrid Castilla, who currently occupy a play-off spot.
