Atlético Madrid will face Albacete in the next round of the Copa del Rey.
The RFEF’s draw on Friday tied Atleti to the side who were last active in the Liga BBVA in the 2004/05 season, when they finished dead last.
Since then, Albacete have been relegated once more and they currently occupy 5th place in Spain’s third division, a league which also features Atlético B.
On their way to the Round of 32, Albacete beat Real Jaén (1-0) and Alavés (1-0), while la Liga teams only enter the tournament now.
The first leg will be played at the Carlos Belmonte stadium on the 8th of December.
The return leg at the Vicente Calderón on the 21st will be our last match of the calender year.
